After writing that VW would locate it’s new plant in South Carolina and Alabama, I feel obligated to write that it actually will be in Chattanooga, Tennessee, near the border of Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.
The point remains that North Carolina is not in a good geographic position to get a car plant – particularly not Rocky Mount or Roanoke Rapids.
Oh yeah, and VW moved it’s North American headquarters to Northern Virginia, not North Carolina.
