W-S mayor will seek another term

Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines will announce his bid for a third term this afternoon.

I can’t imagine that Joines isn’t politically vulnerable, considering the fact that there are a lot of unhappy taxpayers in Winston-Salem watching Billy Prim’s $38 million taxpayer-funded stadium sit unfinished along I-40 and Peters Creek Parkway. It’s a prime opportunity for a strong challenger to step up and talk about changing the way things are done in Winston-Salem. Hopefully, this will evolve into a race to watch.
