The Biz Journal reports Winston-Salem is still considering selling Joel Coliseum and Bowman Gray Stadium, as they have been for quite some time now. I’ll believe it when I see it.
Meanwhile, down I-40 in Greensboro, coliseum director Matt Brown gets kudos for bringing in the second-lowest deficit in 17 years.
Kinda the mirror image of a budget cut, when such and-such entity agency complains when they don’t get as much money as they wanted and calls it a ‘cut’; conversely, congratulations are in order such and such entity doesn’t lose as much money as they did the year before.
That’s the way gov’t works.
