Remember when it was an annual story to point out how Reagan or Bush I or Bush II were doing something to harm poor people? Any proposal to cut the increase in any social services budget was met with howls of derision and accusations of heartlessness. So, do you expect the same after this?:

President Obama’s proposed 2012 budget will cut several billion dollars from the government’s energy assistance fund for poor people, officials briefed on the subject told National Journal.

It’s the biggest domestic spending cut disclosed so far, and one that will likely generate the most heat from the president’s traditional political allies.

Frankly, I don’t expect the media nor Obama’s allies to kick up a fuss. He’s a Democrat, not a Republican.
