Rep. Deborah Ross was a powerful member of the North Carolina House under Democratic control, but now that the Republicans are in the majority, she has largely been sidelined. Today Triangle Transit announced she will become its General Counsel. Ross is a proud progressive Democrat with a reputation as a hard worker. But you have to wonder if/how she will get along with conservative Wake County commissioners who rightly question the proposal for light rail in the Triangle.
