The US Deputy Secretary of Labor and AB Tech’s president visited one recipient of stimulus to celebrate the success of President O’s Blueprint for an America Built to Last, and to suggest that sometimes something besides government might play a tiny part in manufacturing:

U.S. Deputy Secretary of Labor Seth Harris toured Asheville-based AvL Technologies Thursday, guided by the company’s CEO and founder Jim Oliver. Harris visited the satellite antenna manufacturer to highlight its roots in the A-B Tech business incubator, relating its success to President Obama’s “Blueprint for an America built to Last.” A-B Tech president Dr. Hank Dunn also joined the tour and the press conference that followed, during which Deputy Secretary Harris praised both the company and the college, citing innovation as an important part of manufacturing.
