Perhaps Fareed Zakaria has forgotten the jokes about “shovel-ready” infrastructure projects the federal government was going to boost with its stimulus program early in the Obama administration’s first term.
How else might one explain Zakaria’s recommendation in the latest TIME magazine that President Obama use his second term to pursue an “ambitious” infrastructure program, which “could yield immediate results.”
