It’s been 34 years since President Ronald Reagan spoke before the West Bend, Wisconsin Rotary Club. You’d think his July 27, 1987 comments would be dated and that the issues of that time would be very different from the challenges we face in 2021.
Not really. Other than the pandemic, our issues and disagreements are strikingly unchanged. And Reagan is a masterful message for freedom, as usual, speaking of opportunity and looming threats to prosperity in such an uplifting way.
I hope his speech will impact you the way it impacts me. Let’s all strive to be more optimistic defenders of liberty, grounded in common sense and caring for our neighbors and friends.
