Something there is that likes rectangles on posts. Merchants used to put them up to drum up business, but the greenies decided it was preferable for people to waste gas like crazy driving around in circles trying to find the places than to provide visual identifiers. Now that business signs are anathema, movers and shakers in Buncombe County, Brevard, and now Henderson County want to put up signs for non-business establishments. The logic is, since anybody rich enough to tour is rich enough to own a GPS, there is zen in redundancy; especially if it wrecks up the viewsheds. Buncombe County’s signs peeled. What might Henderson’s do for community interaction?
