Jeff Taylor over at the Meck Deck points out that the Wake County Public School System recently paid $1745.09 in property taxes on some real estate formerly owned by House Speaker Jim Black.
The school system accepted the property in lieu of a $500,000 criminal fine that Black owed as part of his sentence.
