I concur with Papadoc’s observations about the Asheville gas shortage. We seem to be coming out of it. I was lucky. Commuting 50 miles a day, I only went to the gas station twice during the crunch. That was because I totaled my first car when it hit empty, got to drive a rental, and then got a new car. I can’t say it’s worth that debilitating, crushed vertebrae feeling.
I saw maybe 5 cars max in gas lines today. I was second in line only because a nice lady let me butt in after I didn’t know where my fuel tank was. Inside, services at the station were emptying out, and signs indicated it was under new ownership.
