  • open, transparent government
  • cutting government spending
  • increasing government accountability
  • reducing the federal deficit, and
  • lowering people’s taxes

rather than governing and acting so steadfast in opposition to those winning issues. That would be far more presidential, don’t you think, than whining to an assembly of communist Chinese youth about “hav[ing] to listen to people criticizing me all the time,” wouldn’t it? Cry us a river, Man of a Thousand Czars. You can call it the Volga.

Funny how in just a year “Hope and Change” went from some vague, feel-good catchphrase into something very specific: we hope this guy will change his mind about force-feeding America a statist takeover of the healthcare system.
