This was the response I got from my co-worker when I declined his initial request to blog about the recent study at Duke University. Said study claims a sexually hostile environment at said university’s campus.
I explained that writing about women opining their ?plight? in the Land of the Free in 2003 was like shooting fish in a barrel. In fact, the title of the last article I wrote on women?s issues could very well be used again for an article about this since millions of university dollars (tax-payer dollars) have been promised to the cause.
?Well, sometimes the fish need to be shot!?
Ok.
Even if we do not examine this on a comparative basis ? geographically or historically ? the ?plight? reveals itself as little more than a hissy fit. How do you remedy the dissatisfaction of women who attend one of the most prestigious and expensive universities in the greatest, freest country in the history of man and animals?
