Forbes magazine’s annual “Best Places For Business And Careers” is out and Charlotte comes in at #37, just ahead of Wilmington. Atlanta, Richmond, and Knoxville are all in the top 10. Durham is 12th. Nashville 15th. Asheville 26th.
Raleigh is #1. For the second year in a row. Forbes also observes, “One metro that made a big jump was Atlanta, which improved to sixth from 25th last year. Its ranking benefited from strong job and income growth and a big reduction in crime.”
Charlotte’s job growth, education level, and cost of doing business all ranked in the 50s. Other factors used in the rankings include cost of living and access to cultural and recreational opportunities. We got the U.S. National Log Flume, ya know.
