Silly economists, wist ye not there was a new math: n < 55 => n >= 55?
Grades of zero have been banned in Jackson County Schools. Teachers can no longer give students anything below a 55. . . . In doing so, they aligned Jackson County philosophically with a growing number of school systems nationwide whose educational leaders believe zeros are too punitive. Kids can’t recover from them academically, and zeros discourage students from even trying, the argument goes.
In other words, we’ve just eliminated unemployment, brought healthcare costs down to affordable levels, set the drinking age at a number acceptable to all, found a happy medium between our caloric intake and BMI, . . .
