Pick up the latest copy of Business Week, and you’ll read that North Carolina’s high school graduation rate places us among the bottom quarter of the states.
The good news is that neighbors Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee all have lower rates. But that’s little consolation to people such as Terry Stoops, who have criticized the state’s ill-considered response its to high dropout rate.
