Hitting a few quick notes:
- Uptown paper of record gamer Langston Wertz Jr. gets slammed for saying that only those over 21 should play the latest thug-simulator from Rockstar games. Adults only — I agree. But adult should mean 18 and up — it does for thousands serving in the military with real weapons and mayhem.
- The official “crime solution” document from City Manager Curt Walton includes $1m. from the $1.8m. sale of land near the Uptown arena. It should include all the money from that sale plus all money from the sale of the 277 cloverleaf not required by the agreement to build the NASCAR Hall.
- NBC talking head Brian Williams basically says there is nothing to read in the Sunday NYT that he can relate to. Welcome to the club, Brian.
- Gregg Easterbrook says the Panthers “paid quarterback money for tackle Jeff Otah.” Uh-uh. Very steep price that must produce a killer running game.
