In his Washington Post column today, George Will writes about a new book that pins the blame right where it belongs: politics. Much as the statists want to avoid this conclusion, there could never have been a huge housing bubble without vast federal interference that artificially lowered interest rates and undermined traditional lending standards.

If you feel like reading a truly pathetic comment, look at the first one. Apparently it’s written by one of those statists and it combines name calling with utter irrelevancies. That’s the way people who can’t think try to argue.
