Little shake-up in the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department’s gang unit. Three deputies —- two male, one female —- and a female “domestic violence clerk” have resigned under mysterious circumstances:

Details about why the four sheriff’s department employees resigned and whether they were forced to do so by Sheriff Terry Johnson were not immediately available. Randy Jones, sheriff’s department spokesman, said it was a “personnel matter.”

…..According to an unattributed report in the Alamance News, a weekly newspaper in Graham, the four employees “were recently forced to give up their posts over indiscretions” that took place during that Las Vegas trip.

Jones repeated multiple times that he couldn’t provide information about the resignations because it was a personnel matter, but he added: “The trip had nothing to do with it.”

“It’s nothing criminal,” Jones said. “It’s just questions we can’t answer.”

Jones said there is an annual gang training seminar in Las Vegas.

“One of the reasons they do that is the proliferation of gangs in Las Vegas, and it’s a four-hour drive from (Los Angeles.) They’ve got the gangs and the gang officers,” Jones said. “I think they have more gang officers in Las Vegas than we have patrolmen.”

A couple of guys, a couple of gals, in Vegas to a little “training”………
