Yesterday, Clear Channel aired a snippet of protesters in Washington, DC, saying their spot of occupied turf was self-sufficient, and they wanted to secede. It illustrated the common notion that economies can function without resources. Implicit is the notion that if other nations refuse to trade, they can raid.
