Why is Rep. Joe Hackney (D-Orange), co-chairman of the North Carolina Legislative Global Climate Change Commission refusing to allow testimony from global-warming skeptics? Only two of the many “experts” that have been allowed to testify are actual climatologists. Most have been Chicken Little green types who think the world will end next week unless we adopt Kyoto-style restrictions on everything we do.
As State Sen. Robert Pittenger (R-Mecklenburg), a commission member, said in a news release about the matter:
The citizens of North Carolina should be wary of any recommendations from a commission that ignores scientific facts and expertise.
