Per Drudge today:

Choking back tears, COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF star Donald Sutherland warned this week: President Bush “will destroy our lives!” … At one point during the session, Sutherland started crying: “We’ve stolen our children’s future… We have children. We have children. How dare we take their legacy from them. How dare we. It’s shameful. What we are doing to our world.”

Credit Sutherland with a recent outbreak of The Rant ? but still, he’s in full Dan Rather mode with the tears. What’s the deal? Can’t leftist men hold their eye-water? Sheesh. Is this spectacle of men blubbering in public over politics a consequence of the feminization of America, or is it something peculiar to men in professions that require them to wear make-up?1 Whatever it is, these “guys” aren’t qualified to wield a remote control.

Note

1. I have my doubts about this theory; after all, Smokey Robinson sang of the “tears of a clown/ when there’s no one around” (emphasis added).
