Now that we’ve prayed for the boy and called the Sheriff’s Department to volunteer for search duty, I just want to know what possible earthly logic would make WRAL and the News & Observer issue an Amber Alert that never mentions the child’s ethnicity?
Honestly, from a hundred yards you can’t be sure if the three-year-old is a boy or a girl, but you can make out the skin tone. Why not describe the most obvious identifiers first? Are we that oversensitive about race?
UPDATE: WRAL finally posted a photo ten minutes ago — about six hours after the child disappeared. Still no mention in the text, nor on N&O’s site.
