The voters in Haywood County voted to raise their taxes for Haywood Community College, could there be a need for private technical schools?

From the Waynesville Mountaineer:

?I?m so excited, I can?t believe it,? said Dr. Rose Johnson, president
of HCC. ?We?re so excited. We appreciate the voters voting to approve
the tax and for the county commissioners for putting the referendum on
the ballot.?

The college?s first priority is a new creative arts building, at $ 10
million
. The current building has roof leaks, a cracking foundation and
cramped quarters.

Johnson, members of the board of trustees and many in the Neighbors
for Haywood Community College group who spent three months helping
promote the tax, followed election results from the president?s board
room on campus. They were jubilant and thankful to voters for their
support of the college.

Ok, so they needed an arts building…
