Haywood County likes Ike (Dan Eichenbaum) and Heath Shuler. Bobby Suttles is leading with over 80% of the vote for sheriff. There is no Republican primary for sheriff.
Jane Gray and Steven Walker are the popular judges. The other judicial races are close. Roy Wijewickrama is running in second place, which would be difficult if he were a writein.
