Prescription drug abuse and poor access to mental health services are the biggest threats to the health of Henderson County residents, a new countywide health assessment says.
An article in the Hendersonville Lightning says Blue Ridge Community Health Services reports “more than 10,000 patients with a behavioral health diagnosis.” To that can probably be added people who pay for their own treatment and those who go untreated. The population of Henderson County is 111,149. Then we have all those crazies who are hailed as the pinnacle of mental clarity for driving the sane insane with their lewd and licentious, PC lies.
But fear not and behold the brilliant remedy:
The next step in the process is for county residents, local hospitals and community partners to form Community Health Assessment action teams to draft strategies to address the priorities and fill the gaps, the Health Department says.
My brain feels like it belongs inside the head of Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” already.
