It’s a step in the right direction, but burglaries in Detroit, America’s Crime Capital, in 2012 were running around 1908 incidences/100,000 people. Asheville’s 120 per month per 83,400 citizens translates to about 1700. Anchorage’s burglary rate was only about 400.
