Back in 2009 when what was to become Obamacare was the Kennedy health care reform legislation my former colleague Joe Coletti posted the following on this blog.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, 23 million people will either lose their employer-based or other health insurance coverage if the Kennedy bill becomes law. That means 23 million people will likely need to find new doctors, start from scratch with their medication treatment plan, and face numerous other costs – including higher taxes, regardless what their income – to pay for the nearly $1.4 trillion in government subsidies for insurance.

So the “if you like your health insurance/doctor you can keep your health insurance/doctor” lie goes back to the beginning.
