A large N.C. Wyeth painting has hung for several years in the main staircase of UNC-Charlotte’s Atkins Library. That is, until it was shipped out to Asheville, to be part of the Asheville Art Museum “Limners to Facebook: Portraiture from the 19th to the 21st Century” exhibit. That show ran from February 27 to July 18. It now November. The painting has not returned to its previous spot. Instead, there’s still just a notice mentioning the exhibit. What’s up with that?
