There’s was a rape the other day in Durham, why isn’t The New York Times covering the case? A Duke student was involved, even another rowdy off-campus party was the scene of the supposed crime.
Are there not important lessons to be learned from this incident? Don’t we need to draw attention to such attacks so we might prevent them in the future? Worst of all, no suspect has been arrested. Do we not need to make sure that everyone involved with the party feels compelled to fully cooperate with the investigation into the incident?
Evidently not. The alleged victim is white and describes her attacker as black.
Only certain combinations of black and white can get the Gray Lady’s attention, you see.
