Where’s the money for Bev Perdue’s plan to increase public school expenditures? It’s a pretty important question because even a small increase in education spending has a considerable impact on the budget. (Public school spending made up about 38 percent of the General Fund appropriations last year.)

Unfortunately, this question won’t matter to those (N&O editors, Bolshies, etc.) who will call her plan “bold” or “courageous” and write that Perdue’s plan to increase education spending exhibits the “kind of leadership that North Carolina needs in these uncertain times.” You wait and see.
