Greensboro Deputy City Manager Bob Morgan says the White Street landfill would fill up in three years if it were reopened. Should we believe him?

Again, I notice that a photo of solid waste operations supervisor David Scott Bost accompanies today’s N&R article, and again he’s not quoted in the article. I’d like to hear what he says to say as opposed to the city’s big-time bureaucrats and politicians. I’d like to think that Morgan is operating on information that Bost is providing him, but you just never know with City Manager Mitchell Johnson’s administration.

I hope Mayor Yvonne Johnson revives the issue at tonight’s City Council meeting so we can get a public debate on the situation. On the subject of public debate, Greensboro citizens weigh in.
