I never would have assumed there would be so many people persecuted by HB2, the bill associated with Governor Pat McCrory that would make people attend the bathroom corresponding to how they biologically eliminate waste. Those advocating the Charlotte Bathroom Bill have the chivalry to put the anti-stigma sensitivities of a woman trapped in a grown man’s body ahead of the safety and what used to be called decency of innocent, defenseless little girls. I still don’t get it.

Another angle is presented in the local daily. A piece was written by a woman who, like many these days, likes to preface all thoughts with, “As a woman.” As a woman, this woman does not like HB2. But as a woman, she reinforces the need NPR is so good at reinforcing for people to focus on a person’s identified gender and identified skin color in order to feign pro-equality consciousness. Regardless, she argues one in six women will be sexually assaulted next year, but there are no documented instances of men in dresses raping little girls.
