Here’s the latest news regarding the Guilford College bar fight/”hate crime,” per the Greensboro News & Record:

Police are investigating an incident Sunday in which three people entered a Guilford College dormitory seeking football players connected to a recent fight with several Palestinian students. They hurriedly left the building — Bryan Hall — after police were summoned, according to reports from the college and Greensboro police.

“Threats were made,” Greensboro Lt. James Hinson said. “But who the threats were directed against and who made them, we can’t comment on that.” …

Guilford spokesman Ty Buckner said the events unfolded shortly after noon when the interlopers arrived “looking for football players” involved in the Jan. 20 fight at Bryan. … He noted that the students involved in the altercation two weeks ago previously had been moved off campus for their own protection. Buckner said a Guilford officer and city police responded quickly to calls about the incursion.

Another campus security officer spotted the three people a short time later elsewhere on campus and followed their car as they left, Buckner said. That officer was able to get a “detailed description of the individuals and the car that they were driving,” according to a report on the college’s Web site.
