I am sure that the Wake County Schools hate stories like this, especially in a year when they will request a $1 billion school construction bond.

Forest Pines Elementary School is an all modular school in Wake Forest. Modular schools can reduce the cost of school construction, as well as minimize the time required to open a new school. Nevertheless, parents, who are ill informed about this type of school building, do not like the idea of sending their children to a modular school.

Predictably, Forest Pines parents hated the idea of sending their children to the school, so they protested, tried to transfer their children to another school, etc. Now parents have changed their tune and have given the school rave reviews. In the end, none of their concerns about the building, the location, and the neighborhood mattered because the children received a good education in a small-school setting.
