George Leef’s perspective on paying for hither education was heard from the Triangle to the coast when he appeared on Tuesday’s “State of Things” on public radio’s WUNC-FM. Blogging later in JLF’s “The Locker Room,” Leef explained that one of his co-panelists was a student who heads UNC’s Association of Student Governments, who pushed the notion that people are being priced out the system by tuition increases. Leef countered that, among other things, the UNC system is one of the least expensive in the country and that enrollment continues to grow.
