In reading Sara’s report on raw milk in today’s Carolina Journal, I was reminded of the debate in the 2007 Senate on Senate Bill 948, sponsored by then state Senators, US Sen. Kay Hagan and State Treasurer Janet Cowell and current state Senator Joe Sam Queen. The bill passed the Senate 34 – 16 before it was sent over to the House to die in the Agriculture Committee.
