The Asheville Tribune is the local, alternative, conservative newspaper. It carries the Carolina Journal as a supplement, and yours truly gets an occasional article published in it. It is free of charge, but some giving soul decided to leave a used baby diaper in the stand outside Bruegger’s Bagels on Merrimon Avenue Christmas week. This form of free speech is not considered hate speech, as it was launched against conservatives. The incident is mysterious because progressives don’t believe in having babies, and they’d use cloth or hemp diapers if they did. Putting used baby diapers in newspaper stands is likely not a crime in Asheville because city council ceded all property rights to the commons. Too bad; the reenactment would have been a blast.
