In Haywood County,
the school system is going to be using state dollars, from the
Education Lottery to finance artificial turf for the county?s two high
schools with football programs.  Is this a wise decision, and is
this really what money from the education lottery is to go for?
Fake Grass!

Buncombe County Schools did a similar switch from natural grass to
artificial turf in 2005.  So I guess there is this ?Keeping up
with the Neighbors? mentality in WNC.

In defense of real grass, and all the graduates of the Turf Grass program at NCSU, in my opinion real grass is better for the environment because of the open space it provides.

So who?s turf is this anyway?  Does the fake grass improve the educational environment?
