Both Chicago newspapers have ignored efforts by the University of Illinois to hamper an investigation by National Review of the relationship between Barack Obama and former Weather Underground radical bomb thrower William Ayers.
The Chicago Tribune and the Sun-Times are legendary newspapers with stellar histories. Over the years they have won Pulitzers and fought for the public’s right to know. Those days are over, apparently. Now truth takes a back seat to the basest Chicago ward politics. Sad.
And the newspaper industry wonders why it’s dying.
