Someone made that point this morning, I don’t remember who so I can’t credit it. But it’s a good point. She’s having the Rutgers women’s basketball team on today because Don Imus called them a name. But why not have the three Duke players who were falsely accused of a crime, had a year of their lives and a possible national championship taken from them, and will always be associated forever in Google with the words Duke and rape? It seems that, in the balance, that’s a much bigger injustice. Or am I missing something?

UPDATE:
Terry Moran of ABC News shows that his head is where the sun doesn’t shine:

As students of Duke University or other elite institutions, these young men will get on with their privileged lives. There is a very large cushion under them–the one that softens the blows of life for most of those who go to Duke or similar places, and have connections through family, friends and school to all kinds of prospects for success. They are very differently situated in life from, say, the young women of the Rutgers University women’s basketball team.

Some wag once said Moran’s name was one vowel off. I think he was right.
