Putting a traffic signal at the intersection of Broad and Perry streets is an idea whose time came a long time ago. What took so long? The impetus is recent pedestrian-car run-ins, but that intersection outgrew the no-signal era at least 20 years ago. It was about that time that turning left from Perry to Broad became almost impossible. Too bad the light wasn’t installed back then to ease traffic rather than now to keep people from being killed.
