The writer of this post on Zero Hedge nails it: politicians and academic economists have no idea what it’s like to be an entrepreneur. No idea what conditions must exist before it looks like a good move to start or expand a business and hire workers.

Obama, Bernanke, et al, view “the economy” from their 30,000 foot vantage point and assume that raining down money through government spending and low interest rates must get things going down on the ground. Their assumption is wrong. Alas, they’ll never listen to people who disagree with them.
