National Review election guru Jim Geraghty asks a good question this morning: Why is a guy who won by 26 in 2008 running attack ads?

He’s talking about 4th District Democrat David Price of Chapel Hill, who is being challenged by B.J. Lawson:

Rep. David Price is an 11-term Democrat who represents the Raleigh-Durham and Chapel Hill areas of North Carolina. His Republican opponent is B.J. Lawson, who Price beat in 2008, 63 percent to 37 percent.

In his career, Price has won less than 56 percent precisely once in this D+8 district; he usually wins with more than 60 percent.

Price is now running attack ads against Lawson.

Perhaps Lawson’s ads, which show Price and Pelosi aging through the years together, have him nervous.
