I was on board four airplanes last week as I traveled across the country. Each time, the airline offered me ear buds to watch the movie/listen to music. On one leg of the trip, I accepted the offer. Here’s what is printed on the small plastic bag containing the ear buds:

This product is not a toy.  Not suitable for children under 3 yrs. Small parts.  Possible choking, entanglement hazard. Adult supervision recommended for 3+.

I continue to be amazed at the dumbing-down of our society. Isn’t it OBVIOUS that kids put things in their mouths? And, if a parent doesn’t know that, do you really think they’ll be conscientious enough to read the bag? What’s next? A sign on the seat that says “This is an airplane.”?
