The Rhino’s Paul Clark digs into the sudden resignation of its highest-paid principal, Smith High School’s Noah Rogers.

Apparently Rogers defrauded both Guilford County Schools and the poor guy who helped him move to Greensboro by pocketing $18,000 in moving expenses. The guy wasn’t a pro mover, either; he was Rogers’ fellow employee at Norfolk Public Schools.

Looks like Rogers operates property rental businesses on the side in Gboro and in Norfolk, where he was for running a rooming house without a permit –the charges were later dropped by the prosecutor.

What gets me is this is way-old news, so why are we —and apparently GCS administration just learning about it now? And I have to ask Dr. Noer: Is this an example of teaching our children well?
