I’ve harbored a lot of misgivings about corporate gifting lately. It always made more sense to me to buy what I wanted without paying overhead for donations, so I could gift to the charities of my choice. In the news yesterday was a story of an amazing corporation whose gifting appeared to outstrip its income. (Actually, Eblen-Kimmel was one of my favorite local charities, as they seemed to help people in desperate situations more than cultivating codependent relationships.)
