Michael Barone tackles that question in his most recent column and it’s a “no brainer” — the Obama regime is following policies that get in the way of the efficient use of resources to produce goods and services people want.
Barone quotes one Democrat wonk who wonders if “anything more could be done to jumpstart job creation.” Typical Democratic cluelessness. The real objective is not “job creation” but wealth creation. That is, producing goods and services. That happens not through governmental dictates, but rather through the market process. The extremely anti-market regime in power has done nothing but obstruct the market process with a blizzard of edicts and threats of more to come.
