Back in college at Arizona State, I learned two fundamental truths in Business 101. First, don’t even bother to open the doors unless your business plan indicates you will make a profit or have enough capital to sustain you through the first lean years. And second, if, after time, you aren’t able to generate more revenue than expenses, close the doors. I don’t recall my professor recommending that a strapped business owner ask the city to steady the sinking ship. But that’s exactly what’s happening with this situation in Cary.
