Note Meck Deck calls on Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools to close its regional sub-sheds in light of next year’s looming budget crisis.

Everyone knows by now that Guilford County Schools Superintendent Mo Green brought the sub-shed concept up Interstate 85 after he bolted CMS. While they’re getting good reviews from parents for providing better customer service, they come at a cost of $4.2 million, leaving the Rhino to conclude “the school board may have to decide whether better service for parents with problems is worth $4.2 million, or is a luxury the school system can’t afford.”

A worthy conclusion, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
